Keep checking the stories.

Although the hosting company still has its problems I keep updating the sites. So keep checking the stories on the stories blog. I keep adding new ones that were on the previous short stories blog. The daily posts on onepostperday.com are up and running again as well. Enjoy!

The club.

He wanted to turn and leave the bathroom but something compelled him to stay. Something drew him to the mirror. He studied it again. There was glass in front of it. Or at least it seemed so but when he touched it it moved. It wrinkled. Not like water in rings but in lines. The lines traversed the entire mirror from the point he touched. The wrinkles reaching the edges turned back and intermingled with the wrinkles still emanating from the spot he had touched.

The sheets of paper just lay there. In the age old desk in the back of the bottom drawer. Collecting dust, unread, unloved. I had bought the desk at an auction and was just filling the drawers with paperwork. Ninety four sheets of paper with words written on them, words crossed out, scribblings in the margins and arrows indicating repositioning of lines or even in one or two case whole paragraphs. Clearly someone had been working hard on something here. Working hard and then suddenly hitting a full stop after which nothing more was written. The last full stop on the last page can’t have been the last full stop of the story.

Cooked breakfast.

Oh dear, oh dear. I don’t feel quite myself today. A stomach pain has wrecked my day. I haven’t the foggiest where it came from. I had eaten well but healthy last night and there was nothing I can think of that could have been off. Drink was also not an issue. Apart from two
